Humane Animal Rescue

Wildlife Rehabilitator

May - August 2019 • Verona, PA

What I liked

How hands on the experience was- I acquired so much knowledge that I still use to this day.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have been there more often, but my other jobs did not allow for that.

Advice

If you don’t seem to like an internship at first, stick it out. I was unsure of my abilities with the hands on work, and it ended up being one of the best experiences I’ll ever have.

It is important to remain open-minded, objective, and motivated. I would also say weekly journals REALLY help with understanding what you are doing/learning and truly helps to learn about yourself.
