About Relovv

*Note: We follow all guidelines under NFSA for unpaid internships*

Did you know the fashion industry is the second most wasteful in the world? In the US ALONE, 14M tons of clothing are thrown away annually. That’s the weight of 700 Caribbean cruise ships. Our only option is to RELOVV our clothing, and give them at least a 3 year life cycle!

Enter Relovv - - the new Sustainable Fashion Community and mobile app. Connect with other sustainable fashionistas, shop the community's closets (like MTV's Louise Roe), and sell your own for free. Hit the heart button on any item you lovv to share it with friends and get paid. Relovved clothes are 73% less wasteful than new, and each purchase saves 500 gallons of water! Join today with invite code: HANDSHAKE to win a $500 relovved shopping spree -

Our competitors mostly focus on luxury goods and create a competitive environment where members are positioned in competition of one another. Relovv is the first marketplace to focus on mass market goods like $30 items from Zara, Free People, Adidas, Lululemon and more. Like Pinterest pinning, relovv someone else's item to your page and earn money when it sells. Get matched through a sophisticated algorithm to items in your size, style, and budget. And enjoy our inclusive plus-friendly and genderless categories!

We are launching a massive expansion in 2019 and need your help!

About our Founder:

In the words of Christine Hunsicker who sold her first company to Yahoo for $850 million, "Alex will eat through a wall." Alex is the 26 year old founder behind relovv. While in college at Boston University, Alex created a hobby-website called UNItiques to be a fun way for girls on campus to share closets. She was shocked when it spread to 600 campuses, and the demand from members outside of college continued to grow. Meanwhile, Alex was recognized as the "Face of Sustainability," as well as awarded the "Best New Venture" of 16,000 students, which got the attention of Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, College Fashionista, and even TV show Project Runway Startup on Lifetime. After graduating, Alex made it her mission to spread "relovving" fashion beyond the campus. She began developing relovv, taking all the best pieces from UNItiques and combining them with new, unique features. Relovv launches the Summer of 2018, and has already been backed by the prestigious Techstars Venture Accelerator. Alex was certified, in-person, by Former Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Reality Leader, and is hailed as a speaker at world-class universities nationwide, including Harvard University.

Creative Direction and Marketing Intern

June 2019 - September 2019 Los Angeles, CA
“Since it was a start-up company, there was more wiggle room/ freedom when it came to creative work. I had direct contact with the CEO and operations manager. Although it was unpaid, the CEO would hold workshops about her experience and business tips that were beneficial to know. ”
