I was learning lots of interpersonal skills, but not learning skills toward my field of study.

Human Resources Intern

What I liked

Small, Friendly, and dedicated team of office staff who genuinely care about the well being of all 150 caregivers and other office staff. As this was a smaller business they really gave me a lot of opportunities to take on responsibilities that an intern might not be able to in a large company. Also they took me on full time as an HR Generalist managing all HR operations at the conclusion of my internship, so that was nice!

What I wish was different

A bit more structure to the intern program in regards to learning new skills/ industry insights would have been nice. With that said, I was given amazing insight and experience through practical hands on work.
