Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

About Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ranch licensed and regulated by the USDA. How many times have you spent a small fortune to take your family to a large zoo for the day, only to find all the animals hiding in the back of their exhibits, too far away for you to see them, let alone experience them? Our mission is to provide the North Texas community with the opportunity to experience rare and endangered exotic wildlife in a unique and personal setting. What better way to learn about conservation than by seeing it up close and hands on?

Our goal for our interns is to take the skills that they have learned and expanded upon to their next destination. This 90 day self-paced program is an immersive experience that will leave you with several skill sets preparing you for work within the industry. You will learn about all of the species that reside at Sharkarosa from the goats and horses to binturongs and bears.

Our 126 acre educational park offers field trips, private tours, open to the public Friday, Saturdays and Sundays and rental for events large and small! Lions, Tiger and Bears (Oh My!) will be sure to make Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch your next wild adventure!
Open to the Public Days are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday as long as the weather permits. All other weekdays are reserved for educational programs as well as private tours.

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch sits on 126 breathtaking acres near Lake Ray Roberts in Denton County, Texas.

“The employees are really passionate about their jobs. You get to work with exotic animals and orphaned local animals, sometimes even nursing them by hand. The volunteer program for college students is really helpful. ”
