I really love the people I worked with over the summer and just the overall community at TJ Maxx. It's a retail job but it's one of the best in my opinion. I actually met a ton of teens from my former high school and other people that I am still in touch with today.
What I wish was different
I wished I could have gotten more hours during the day because most of the time, I worked night shifts which I don't really mind but I would have preferred a balance schedule with more day shifts.
Advice
TJ Maxx is a good place to work at. The management at my store was great, I was able to develop my communications skills over the summer while also making money. I highly suggest a similar job for anyone who is not able to find an internship for the summer.

Don't work there if you like being organized or if you care about good management. The managers get very disoriented with their tasks and lose control of managing the sales associates. They guilt trip you but also don't reward you for how many people you get to sign up for a TJX credit card.

The co-workers there were amazing and so sweet! I also loved being able to meet and see some of the same faces weekly from customers!

I wish I had applied to be something other than a cashier, it was a lot of just standing their and waiting for people to come to you.
Advice
If you already have a busy schedule, do not apply here because they schedule you whenever they can and it is hard to get someone to take your shift.
