I love the Wells Fargo Culture in the Boise Office Everyone was willing to spend time with me to teach me what they do They trust me by giving me some assignments and additional projects while working with them It helped me to know that I have a really big interest in the banking career

I wish It would have been longer. 10 weeks went by really fast for me

Always be proactive, be friendly but also professional. If you show your desire to learn and get involved with the team. They will help you more, and will give you more assignments and projects. You will also gain their trust.

What I liked

It was great seeing what working in an office 40 hours a week was like. I was able to work with FSU Alumni which was also awesome. I learned a great deal about commercial real estate, but also how to deal with people of different personality types.

What I wish was different

I wish the program had a little more structure. I did not enjoy the days that were slow as much as I enjoyed days full of meetings.

Advice

Ask questions and network while you are there, but most importantly seek to help others whenever you can. Volunteer for any random tasks asked of people in the office.

I wish they offered more group projects.

Take advantage of your internship role. You get the chance to meet so many people. Never be shy to introduce yourself, stay after a meeting to talk to a speaker, or ask people out to lunch. I was able to get my full time job on another team because of the people I was connecting with.

I currently work for Wells Fargo but I did an internship in a separate department to gain a little more insight in the company, it was different from what I expected but I was able to see all the back office work it took to be one of the U.S top financial institution’s

What I wish was different

A little more hands on, I mostly shadowing and helping people who already did the job, I wasn’t able to actually do the job.

Advice

Attention to details when dealing with financial compliance making sure you’re able to pay attention to what you’re doing and reading helps you not have to redo the work.
