Learnt a lot from working on my project, was not just an isolated intern project Everyone on my team was super supportive and helpful

Software Developer Intern

May - August 2018 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

I like the team and the work environment. It was very laid back and you had a lot of freedom to work the way you wanted to. The whole feel can be boiled down to one phrase, "We had rooms where you could take naps in the middle of the work day".

What I wish was different

I wish I got to learn a bit more about how server side development worked.

Advice

Use the opportunity to learn from those more experienced than you. Don't be afraid to ask questions and learn from your mistakes. An internship is an opportunity to better yourself and to grow in an environment that is hard to come by during day to day academics.

Software Developer Intern

July - September 2018 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

I loved my internship with Zillow last summer. Zillow treats their interns as full-time employees, so I was able to work on real projects alongside my team and constantly push code to production.
